A signature bowl of spalted walnut with a striking contrast – red crackle with black cracks on the outside, a gold rim and a natural interior with golden-highlighted pores.
Description
This 23 × 7 cm bowl is an original piece that connects the wild beauty of spalted walnut with an artistic concept inspired by fire.
The outside was given a two-layer finish: a black base with a red top layer that cracked thanks to the crackle technique, creating the effect of glowing lava.
The upper rim is accented with gold pigment that also subtly blends into details of the inner surface.
Inside, the bowl stays true to nature – the grain of the spalted walnut, toned red and with pores filled with gold, forms an elegant contrast to the dramatic outside.
This piece is a fusion of fire and wood – a functional yet artistic object that will not go unnoticed.
