Spalted Walnut Bowl “Turquoise Counterpoint” (21×10 cm)

Description

A signature bowl of walnut, whose natural spalting created a unique grain full of contrasts. Every growth ring, every dark flash and small trace of fungus is a story of time written into the wood by nature itself.

The bowl has an elegant tall shape (21 × 10 cm) with a rim that curves strongly inward, so it feels solid and majestic.

The outer surface is finished with two layers of acrylic paint: a grey base and a pastel turquoise top layer create fine cracks – a subtle crackle that lets the depth of the base show through. The result is a surface reminiscent of old ceramics or patinated metal.

The upper rim and the inner cavity were left in the natural tone of spalted walnut. The surface is treated with a blend of natural waxes, oils and pigments, so the grain literally comes alive and contrasts with the modern colored finish of the outside.

This piece is a fusion of two worlds – organic natural wildness and modern design. The bowl works as an artifact as well as a practical object that will never go unnoticed on the table.
