Yew Wood Bowl (20×8 cm)

An elegant, naturally shaped bowl of beautiful European yew. Yew is by far the densest of our native conifers and its hardness surpasses most commonly growing native woods. Thanks to its toughness and flexibility it was popular in the past for making bows, whose range exceeded bows made of ash. Yew is a slow-growing tree, very hardy and with excellent regenerative abilities.

Warning! Yew wood is highly poisonous – it contains a mixture of cardiotoxic alkaloids.
